Meccano Junior 150 Piece Bucket Set
Meccano Junior is a great way to introduce children to the world of construction, engineering and imagination.
This handy Meccano Junior 150 Parts Bucket contains 150 plastic pieces that are easy to snap together.
You can build a lorry, a motorcycle, a speedboat, a robot and a helicopter – up to 10 different models; or why not create something yourself? When you've finished, all the pieces can go back into the bucket for another day.
Meccano was invented in 1898 by Frank Hornby, best known for the Hornby railway system. The father of 2 young boys, he created for them a system of parts, nuts and bolts, allowing them to build cranes like the ones that fascinated them so much loading and unloading ships at the Port of Liverpool.
Hornby developed his system and marketed it under the brand name "Mechanics Made Easy" in 1901 - the name developed and was patented as MECCANO in 1907. The rest, as they say, is history.
